In Slovakia, in the village of Orlové, a manor house, which was originally built in 1612 and belonged to an important dynasty from the Žigmund Balassa family. At one time, the noble family of the Balassos enjoyed great favor at the Habsburg court, thanks to which one of the most important rulers of that period - Empress Maria Theresa - often visited them in the Orlov residence. The armchair on which Mária Theresia sat has been preserved to this day in the mansion, like many other authentic artifacts from that period. The mansion was rebuilt into a 5-star hotel. In the hotel area, you can visit historical expositions or a baroque chapel. The furnishings of the rooms are a combination of modern and historical style. Each room is equipped with a mini bar, safe, flat screen TV, high speed internet, coffee/tea making facilities, direct dial telephone and private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers.
